If you have received multiple tickets in a short time, a judge may require that you obtain an SR-22 certificate before you sit behind the wheel again. At Able Insurance Agency, we can provide affordable SR-22 insurance to Virginia, Texas, and Arizona drivers for an affordable fee.
What Is SR-22 Insurance?
Despite the word “insurance” being in the name, SR-22 does not cover your vehicle or your medical expenses like regular auto insurance. Rather, SR-22 is a document that shows you have current auto insurance that meets minimum requirements.
How Long Does an SR-22 Last?
Although you need to have auto insurance whenever you drive, SR-22 insurance isn’t required for life. Instead, the court dictates how long you must carry this certification. Depending on the severity of your traffic offenses, you may need SR-22 insurance for only a year or two, though some sentences may require that you carry it for up to five years.
When you file for SR-22 with Able Insurance, we’ll gladly provide your certification for as long as you need it. In fact, we’ll do a lot of the paperwork for you. Simply request that you need an SR-22 along with your auto insurance policy, and we’ll send verification to the state.
Have Additional Questions?
SR-22 insurance doesn’t have to be complicated or confusing. As long as you continue to pay your premiums, your SR-22 will remain in effect.
